Communication is the key

Ashwadhi quite often says “You look intimidating when you’re at work”. I’ve found it funny and felt complimented the moment she threw those words. But later once I start thinking about and realising it consciously when I am at work, I found that how harmful is that for my fellow design mates. Its not that I was intimidating, I was very confident about my solutions for problems, I put them in a way they have zero errors in it (though those are ideations for MVPs). This attitude of mine left 0 room for other people to speak upfront about it (unless they’re serious constructive criticisers)

As a designer, to work in teams, rather to make your ideas work, you need users. Unlike olden days, we’re not making products first and then make users use it. It works the other way round, the designs we make are user centric customizable iterative design systems. The more flexible the product is, the better they amalgamate well with the needs of the users. And so the minds of designers. Its really hard to come out of the critiquing others’ work and defending the self work loop. But once we take a step back to understand others' perspectives in our work, it's gonna increase the threshold of the perspective with different dynamics. I feel like giving up ownership of my work, but I believe soon it will change for me.
